Get Support

Support is one of the core pillars of the RSA movement.

Of the 41,000 Veterans in New Zealand today, 30,000 have served since the end of the Vietnam War – three quarters of our Returned population.

Tens of thousands more have served in the armed forces without participating in a recognised operational deployment. Our Service population is estimated at 100,000 men and women since the end of WW2.

Who we support:

Howick RSA supports current serving New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) personnel, those who have transitioned out of the military, and their families.

You don’t have to be an Howick RSA member or have served overseas to get advice and support from us.

We are here to assist all service people and their loved ones.

We can Provide:

Financial Assistance:
By needs-based grants to alleviate financial, medical and education hardship – available for all who serve, or have served and their dependents.

Advocating for service benefits:
We recognise the rigors of domestic and overseas service and advocate on your behalf for Government recognition, assistance and redress.

Connections and comradeship:
We can link you with government, corporate, community and other ex-service groups, to provide information, mentoring, support and opportunities.
